Johnnie Butler

Johnnie Butler, 73, of Franklin, LA, transitioned peacefully on Sunday, October 11, 2026. He was born December 4th, 1952, to the late Leroy Butler, Sr. and Margaret (Freeman) Narcisse.

He will be remembered for his immeasurable contributions to his community as owner of Butler’s Foodarama, his position as a public school teacher for over 2 decades at Franklin Junior High School, a dedicated member of St. Mark Masonic Lodge No. 25, as well as through his membership in Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.

Johnnie is survived by his son, Johnny Butler, Jr., and his daughter Ingrid M. Butler.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Constance M. Butler.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM at MK Dixon Funeral Home in Baldwin, LA. Tributes and Expressions of Love will be shared during visitation.

Following Visitation Mr. Butler will be interred at Nazarene Baptist Church Cemetery, Verdunville, LA.
