Joseph Bourgeois

A Private Graveside Service will be held for Mr. Joseph Bourgeois, who passed away on Monday, April 6, 2020, at his residence.

Mr. Joseph Bourgeois was born on August 28, 1936, to Leona Bourgeois Robinson in the Four Corners area. Joseph was educated in St. Mary Parish and later moved to San Francisco, CA and the later to E Palo Alto, CA. He met and married Yolanda Anderson Bourgeois. In 1993 he moved his family from E Palo Alto, CA after retirement from Ford Aerospace.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife, Yolanda Bourgeois, four children, Eric Ebanks of Las Vegas, NV, Annie Hamilton of New Iberia, LA, Michelle TreVillion of Dallas, TX and Joelene Bourgeois of Baton Rouge, LA; seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. He also leaves to cherish his memory, three brothers, Dennis of Baton Rouge, LA, Terrell Lewis of Baton Rouge, LA, Kenneth Lewis of Charenton, LA; seven sisters, Josephine Robinson of San Francisco, CA, Elnora Colbert, Leona Wiley-Jackson of Four Corners, LA, Shirley Feist of Jeanerette, LA, Edna Lyons of Baldwin, LA, Geraldine Evans of Baton Rouge, LA, Peggy Burney of Baton Rouge, LA, and a stepmother Ella Mae Lewis of Baton Rouge, LA, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends who realize that earth has no sorry that heaven cannot heal.

Joseph was preceded in death by his mother Leona Robinson, fathers, Charley Robinson and Minus Lewis, two brothers, Henry Robinson and Wilson Lewis, two sisters, Albertha Harris and Lena Calhoun.
