A Celebration of Life for Joseph Gilchrist, Jr. will be held Saturday, September 5, 2020, 11:00 AM at MK Dixon Funeral Home.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 5, 2020, from 9:00 AM until the time of service at MK Dixon Funeral Home.
Joseph "Brah Brah" Gilchrist JR was born on July 13,1992 in Houma,LA. He was a resident of Morgan City, LA. He passed unexpectedly on August 21,2020 at the age of 28.
Joseph was a very loving young man with a big heart.He loved fishing,hunting,and tinkering with his boats.He was very talented with his hands.His niece was his whole world. His memory will live on forever. He is loved and will be dearly missed.
Joseph is survied by his parants, Joseph Gilchrist Sr, and his mother Jeannie Millet and his Stepfather Tony DeRouen. His sister Destiney Gilchrist,stepsisters Kayla DeRouen and Madilyn DeRouen,Niece Meya Bullock,Grandmother Theresa Cowart,Grandfather Larry Estelle and his wife Josie, Nanny Angel Restrepo and her husband Luis, Aunt Jade Millet, Aunt April Cowart and her husband Jacob, Aunt Reeva Estelle, Uncle Rodney Gilchrist and his wife Tonal, Aunt Mona Gilchrist, Aunt Nona Campo and her husband Rodney, Aunt Denisa Acosta and many more.
He was preceded in death by, his grandma Martha Gilchrist, Uncle Brian Millet, great grandparents Harold and Ruby Kelly, great grandparents Daniel and Ida Gilchrist, great grandparents Warren and Ida Millet, and Great grandpa Anatole Derouen.
