Joseph Guilbeau

A Celebration of Life for Joseph Guilbeau, will be held Saturday, November 11, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. at MK Dixon Funeral Home in Baldwin, La.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 11, 2023, from 1:00 P.M. until the commencement of the celebration at MK Dixon Funeral Home in Baldwin, La.

Joseph will be interred at Oakwood Cemetery in Chicago, Illinois.

Joseph Guilbeau, a native of Franklin, La and a native of Chicago, Illinois, was born to Joseph Guilbeau and Ida Mae McDaniel on March 4, 1951, in Franklin, La.

Joseph graduated from Park Avenue High School in Franklin, La. He was baptized at Mt. Horeb Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor J.W. Wells. Joseph worked for East Walton Condo Association for over 20 years.

Joseph's favorite football and baseball teams were Minnesota Vikings and the Black Sox. He enjoyed being on the phone via Facetime at night with his daughter, Adrian Guilbeau, who he affectionately called "Lil Guh or Baby Girl." At the end of each of their calls, he and Adrian would go round for round on who would be closing their conversations in prayer.

He leaves to cherish his memory his only child, Adrian Guilbeau; six grandchildren, Tajh, Titus, Thaiim, Ta'shib,Tyler, Ti'jiria Guilbeau; five sisters,Claudia Jean Guilbeau of Franklin, La, Jacklin Collins of Rayne, La, Myra Wilson of Moss Point, MS Carla Lee, and his "Baby Sister" Hope(Anthony) Broussard of Lafayette, La; two brothers,Christopher Guilbeau, Sr., of Lafayette, La and Larry Guilbeau, Sr. of Franklin,La; eight aunts, Linda Faye Guilbeau Davis (Curvis) of Opelousas, La, Cinderella Guilbeau Watkins(Perker) of Lafayette, La, Madline Guilbeau Bernard(Joseph) of Lafayette, La, Elsie Guilbeau Bernard(John) of Cecilia,La, Golden Charles of Franklin, La, Anna(Richard) Burgess of Verdunville, La, Sandra(Alvin) Burrell of Franklin, La, Jackie(Kenneth Lynn) Clark of Franklin,La; one uncle, Kearney (Patricia) McDaniel of Franklin, La.
