Joshua will be interred at Special Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Baldwin, Louisiana.
Joshua Lamar White departed this life peacefully on Sunday, October 30, 2022, at Ochsner Medical Center in Lafayette, LA.
He was born on July 1, 1986, in Lafayette, LA to the late Lola and Earl White, Jr. He accepted Christ at an early age and was
baptized at Nazareth Baptist Church in Pleasant Hill, LA.
Joshua cared deeply for his family and friends. He was a loving brother, grandson, fiancé, nephew and friend. He enjoyed cooking, grilling,fishing and sports. Joshua liked creating new ideas with his food and adding his own unique touch. He took pride in his cooking and boy did he think he was the best cook ever!
Joshua leaves behind to cherish his precious memories: two brothers, Earl (Chanel) White, III of Patterson, LA and Lorenzo (Ayla Mczeal) White of Lafayette, LA; one loving grandmother, Esther Leonard of Baldwin, LA; his fiancé Dana Scott ofJeanerette, LA; three god sisters, Princess Harris and Brittney Do of Franklin, LA and Fredricka Harris of Houston, TX; six uncles, Albert Leonard of New Iberia, LA, Kern(Betty) Leonard and Shawn Leonard both of Baldwin, LA, Gregory White of Eldorado, AR, Bryan White of Houston, TX, and Kenneth White of Detroit, Michigan; nine aunts, Janyce White and Lonna Bell of TX, Jacqueline (Thomas) Davis of New Iberia, LA, Yvette White of Franklin, LA, Denise White of Arkansas, Mother Cynthia (Apostle Earl) Bobb of Lancaster, TX, Elder Danna (Clarence) Colbert, Nola (Clayton) Hatcherson both of Baldwin, LA and Prophetess Tina (John) Harris, IV of Franklin, LA; and a host of great aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Earl, Jr. and Lola White; Paternal grandparents, Earl, Sr. and Mattie Mae Henderson White; maternal grandfather Albert Leonard, Sr.; his uncle Nelson White; aunt Emetta White and Special cousin Benorian Leonard. Joshua will be missed by all who knew him.
