Juan Anthony Stewart Sr. was born on January 22, 1963 to the union of the late Maudrie Ann Maze Stewart and Andrew Stewart, Jr. in Lafayette, Louisiana. He was called home to glory on Monday, September 27, 2021 at 7:40 pm at his residence. Juan was a 1982 graduate of Franklin Senior High School. He started welding after graduating from high school. He worked as a helper and welder at McDermott, Gulfcraft, and Bollinger Shipyards during his career. He was a welding instructor at Bollinger Shipyard until 2011. He retired due to health issues. He was a member of St. Jules Catholic Church. He served as altar boy with Father White. As a young boy, he enjoyed hunting and fishing with his father and brothers. He played baseball, basketball, and football for Franklin Senior High School. After high school, he continued to play baseball during the summer. He was a Little League Baseball coach. He loved to tell stories about the many fishing trips with his grandmother. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great nephews. He was definitely an entertainer. Juan was a die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
