Learmey Sharp

A Celebration of Life for Learmey Sharp will be held Monday, February 20, 2023, at 10:00 A.M. at MK Dixon Funeral Home in Baldwin, La.

Visitation will be Monday, February 20, 2023, from 9:00 A.M. until the commencement of the celebration at mk Dixon Funeral Home in Baldwin, La.

Learmey Sharp, was born on May 22, 1945 to the late Rev. Marshall Wesley, Sr. and the late Ella Robertson Wesley. Learmey passed away on February 11, 2023 at her residence in Jeanerette, Louisiana surrounded by her family. Learmey accepted Christ at an early age. She had a variety of jobs throughout her life including Jeanerette Mills, Cypress Bayou Casino and Manager of Five Star Mobile Station. She enjoyed family gatherings and playing at local casinos.

Learmey is survived by two sons; Eric Hoskins of Jeanerette, LA and Joseph Wesley, Sr. (Melissa) of New Iberia, LA, one sister; Mary George (Clyde, Sr.) of Cade, LA, seven grandchildren; Malik Johnson, Ajael Bruno, Eric Hoskins, Jr., Necole Moore, Joseph Westley, Jr., Nakiya Pryor, and Quincy Barabin, Sr., eight great-grandchildren; Tyrek, Feryn, Jaxx, Ava, Nova, Legend, Nova Skii, and Quincy, Jr., four God children; Melissa Barabin, Wanda Maxie, Edwin Young, Jr. and Jamaica Maxie and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers; Marshall, Jr., Charles, Roman, Sr. and Joseph and three sisters; Martha, Ida and Ella Mae.
