A Celebration of Life for Lee Anthony Gibson will be held Saturday, July 10, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Special Providence Baptist Church, in Baldwin, Louisiana. Mask will be required.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 10, 2021, from 9:00 A.M. until the commencement of the celebration at Special Providence Baptist Church.
Lee will be interred at Special Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Baldwin, Louisiana.

Lee Anthony Gibson Sr., loved and well known as (Leon, Bobby Boucher, Hermanos, Twin) expressed his love often and displayed it through his smile, dancing, and laughter. He was well known for his hard work and dedication to whatever he committed himself to. He expressed how much he loved his family while making sure the younger children were educated as he joked around and loved each one as his own. His love for others exceeded his family as he displayed respect to everyone he communicated and came into contact with.

On August 22, 1982, Lee was born to Michelle Gibson Brown and Lee Shezbie. He was a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, and in his teenage years, relocated to Baldwin, Louisiana, with the late Aunt Margarite G. Clark and Tony Gibson, Sr. He resided in Jeanerette, Louisiana, where he settled with his life partner, Sharetka Polidore.

Lee was accepted by God and christened at Special Providence Baptist Church by Rev. W. J. Otis, Jr. and continued receiving God's word from numerous churches that he frequently visited. He received his education from Orleans, St Bernard, and St. Mary Parish Public School Systems. Lee was a hardworking and dedicated employee of M. A. Patout & Son, LTD and applied his skills as needed to numerous family businesses.

The memories that Lee left behind will be forever remembered and shared by: his mother, Michelle (Calvin) Brown of New Orleans, LA; his father, Lee (Nekia) Shezbie of New Orleans, LA; two Children, Ayanna Carter of Charenton, LA and Lee Anthony Gibson Jr. of Baton Rouge, LA; five sisters, Latoshia (Elmore) Lockett, Lichelle (Noble) Ruffin, Johnell (Neil) Gibson, Jonquil Gibson, and Leann (Jarvis) Williams all of New Orleans, LA; one Brother, Christian McKnighten of New Orleans, LA; one step sister Elmeda Matthews; one step brother Calvin Brown, Jr.;grandmothers, Mercedes Gibson of New Orleans and Agnes Bellard of Franklin, LA; loving companion, Sharetka (Tywan) (Kayci) Polidore of Jeanerette, LA; a loving and caring Goddaughter, Riley (Shameka) Bellard of Sorrell, LA; Godparents, Paulette Preston, Melvin Davis, and Uncle Roland (Mattie Lee) Lockett of New Orleans, LA; a devoted and loving uncle James Bernard (Kim) Gibson Sr. of Franklin, LA; a loving and caring aunt Edna Bellard of Sorrell, LA, a loyal and faithful cousin Gavin Gibson Sr. of New Orleans, LA; aunts Cindy (Douglas) Tillman of Amite, LA, Debra (Darrin) Wilson, Sharon Gibson, Lynette Gibson (John) Gilbert, Irma Mcneil all of New Orleans, LA, Jasmine Webb of Houston, TX, Laura Bellard, Brenda (Floyd) Parker, Dana Stansbury all of Franklin, LA; devoted aunts Mable Williams of Houston, TX, and Mary Pickney of Baldwin, LA; uncles Matthew (Jean) Gibson Sr. and Charles Sam of New Orleans, Bernard Bellard, Kenneth (Della) Bellard Sr., Wendell (Lisa) Bellard, Terrance (Tanya) Ballet Sr., Torrance Ballet Sr. all of Franklin, LA; devoted cousins, Tremell Armstead, Gregory Gibson Sr. , Garan Gibson Sr., Renard Gibson, Tyrone (Letitia) Gibson Sr., Matthew Cousan, Lamar Benet Sr., James Gibson, Jr., Joseph Hampton Sr. all of New Orleans , Melvin (Alesha) Williams, Jr. of Youngsville, LA, Kendrick Wilson, Tajuan (Megan) Gibson of Baldwin, LA, and Jordy (Aloma) Gibson of Jeanerette, LA; as well as, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, relatives and friends.

On June 27, 2021, at the tender age of 38, Lee was called with unconditional love to his Father's home. Awaiting his arrival in heaven is his Maternal Grandfather, James Bellard, Sr.; Paternal Grandfather Lee (Ace) Honore; Paternal Grandmother Felicia Batiste; Uncles Terrance "Troy" Gibson, James "Jelly" Bellard, Jr., Philip Shezbie, Ferdnand Shezbie, and David Mcneil; Aunts Mattie Gibson, Angela Jones, Janice Wiggins, Leanna Cooper, and Verna Mae Batiste; Loving Cousins Matthew "Matt" Gibson, Jermaine "Head" Williams, and Anthony "Push" Wilson.

Lee Anthony Gibson knew and loved God; therefore, he transferred the most important fruit of The Spirit (love) without asking for anything in return. He leaves the legacy of "Love" behind so that everyone knows "God is love; and he that dwells in love dwells in God, and God in him" (1 John 4:16).
