Leona Watkins Edwards

Leona W. Edwards was born on March 29, 1927, to Paul and Emma Watkins. Later in life she, she was blessed again and married Frank Edwards, Sr.

Leona accepted Christ at an early age. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Franklin, LA under the leadership of the Pastor Noah Smith where she remains faithful until her heath didn't allow her to attend.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories three grandchildren; Angela (Gerald) Spain of Franklin, LA; Tana (Terrell) Perro of Franklin, LA; and Michael Kelly of Milwaukee, WI; six grandchildren; Terry (Biancia) Washington, Jr., Jamal (Lisa) Washington, Sr., Treshonda (Devon) Washington, Tanasia Perro, Kayla Perro, and Kirsten Perro, eight great-great grandchildren, Jamaree Washington, Kysen Austin, Kohen Austin, Nevaeh Gibson, Jamal J. Washington, Jr., Ja'Manii Washington, and Nevin Gibson, one godchild, Don Cross, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Edward, Sr., daughter, Shirley Kelly, her parents, Paul, and Emma Watkins, two brothers; John Warner and Benny Hall, three sisters; Louise Roberts, Ethel Golden, and Florence Jones, nieces, and nephews.
