A Celebration of Life for Leonard Alvin Dugar, Sr. will be Saturday, February 18, 2017, 11:00 AM at Good Hope Baptist Church, 908 Washington Street, Patterson, LA. Rev. Patrick Jones, Pastor, will officiate the service.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 18, 2017 from 9:00 AM until the commencement of the funeral service at the church.
He will be interred in Homes Industrial Cemetery, Patterson, LA
Leonard Alvin Dugar, Sr. was born on October 7,1949 to Ivory Sr. and Hilda Dugar. Leonard was baptized at Good Hope Baptist Church by Pastor Patrick Jones Sr. Leonard was 67 years old and a native of Patterson, Louisiana. He departed this life on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Teche Regional Medical Center @ 9:30 A.M.
The memories of Leonard Dugar Sr. will forever remain in the heart of his wife, Thelma Dugar of Patterson, Louisiana. Three sons, Ronald (Felicia) Dugar, Delvin Dugar Sr. of Patterson and Leonard Dugar III of Morgan City, Louisiana. Four daughters; Deidra Darby of Centerville, Louisiana, Michelle (Robert) Schexnayder, and Sherry Dugar of Patterson. Ursula Dugar of Lafayette, Louisiana. Six brothers; Raymond (Pam) Dugar and Richard (Vivian) Dugar of Texas. Marvin (Claudette) Dugar, Robert Dugar, Gregory Sr. (Pam) Dugar, William (Stephanie) Dugar, and James Williams all of Patterson, Louisiana. Five sisters; Juanita (Frank) Griffin, Brenda Ruffin, Paulette (Francis) Boulanger, and Debra (Billy) Washington all of Patterson, Louisiana. Geraldine (George) Clark of Berwick Louisiana. Seventeen grandchildren; Quintus Sr, Keiana, Ashala, Dahlia, Destiny, Kai, Deja, Skyler, Devin, Delvin Jr., Trenndey, Lalia, Ashantae, Kanye, Kevin, Kylon, Ja'sharea, and one great grandchild, Quintus Jr. Two god children; Ronnie Jones, and Debra Cooper Johnson. A host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Leonard was preceded in death by his son Leonard Dugar II, his parents; Ivory Sr. and Hilda Dugar, In-laws Sonny Sr. and Otha Williams, two sisters; Mary Louise Jennings, one brother Ivory Dugar Jr., and Lillie Mae Williams. His maternal and paternal grandparents.
