Funeral Service for Lionel Harris will be Saturday, March 16, 2019, 11:00 AM at St Peter UMC, Jeanerette, LA. Pastor Darlene Moore will officiate the service.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 16, 2019 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at St. Peter UMC, Jeanerette, LA

He will be interred in St. Peter UMC Cemetery.

Lionel leaves to cherish his memories: His wife, Wille Mae Harris, His mother, Kittie Mae Harrison, His father in law Edward Charles Harrison all of Jeanerette, La., four sons:  Eric Lee of Vancouver Washington, Marcus Harris (Patricia), of Broussard, La., Travis Harris of Long Beach, CA., Carlos Lionel Harris (Ginger) of New Iberia, La., One daughter Wanda Lee-Thompson (Darrell) of New Iberia, La.  4 Step-sons:  Joseph Sampy, Earl Sampy, Jamison Sampy all of Jeanerette, La, Jason Sampy of Olivier, La. One Brother, Frank Harris (Debra) of Jeanerette, One close uncle, Carol Paul Davis (Betty), Harker Heights, Texas, One Aunt Ruby Davis of Texas City, Texas.Five sisters, Beverly Eugene-Thomas (James) of Dallas, Texas, Debra Davis of New Iberia, La., Linda Harris-Berry of Rochester, New York, Brenda Preston (Paul/Tramyra) of Patterson, La., and Mary Louise Davis of Jeanerette, La., Two sisters-in-law:  Alice Hopes (Joshua Sr.), Lillie Mae Ledet (Wilbert), one brother-in-law:  Junius Cassamire (Lois), One special friend and barber, Joseph (J.C.) Butts all of Jeanerette. 17 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Lionel was preceded in death by his father, Frank Harris Sr, grandparents: Celeste (Momma Liss) Brown, Clementine Johnson, Amos Johnson and Mary Davis.  Uncles: Harold & Donald Davis, mother-in-law Leola Cassamire, father-in-law Alex Cassamire, step-daughter Adrian Sampy.
