A Homegoing Celebration honoring the life and legacy of our loving father/grandfather Lloyd Jacob Martin will be held Saturday, January 3, 2025, 1:00 pm at Mount Calvary Baptist Church (Jeanerette, La). The Rev Cornell De'Clouet will be officiating.

Visitation will be observed 11 AM- 12:30 PM.

Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church Cemetery (Jeanerette, La).

Lloyd was a God-Fearing man who loved life, work, and most of all his family. Lloyd worked as a Burner for J Ray McDermott for 25 years. He was a faithful deacon and member of Calvary Baptist Church where he devoted his time and service until his untimely illness.

As a loving father, he committed his life to rearing his 6 children. His unwavering love and support were evident and felt with every word, gesture, and action.

Saying Lloyd loved the outdoors would be an understatement. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting, and sitting in the outdoors, enjoying the stillness of nature or sitting under his shed having deep conversations with his beloved nephew Calvin. As much as he loved nature, he loved to challenge his grandkids and son-in-laws to a game of basketball to show off his famous "hook shot.”

He will be greatly missed by many!

Lloyd's legacy is cherished and carried forward by his six children:
