A Celebration of Life for Marcus Alexis will be held Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Lighthouse Missionary Baptist Church in New Iberia, Louisiana. Mask will be required.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 6, 2021, from 12:00 P.M. until the commencement of the celebration at Lighthouse Missionary Baptist Church.
Marcus will be interred at Holy Family Mausoleum in New Iberia, Louisiana.
Marcus "Eddie" Alexis was born on February 10, 1992, to Kesha Alexis and Marcus Rankin. He was baptized at Lighthouse Missionary Baptist Church.

He departed this earthly life on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at approximately 9:00 P.M. in Jeanerette, LA.

Marcus was the life of the party, putting smiles on many faces. He enjoyed spending time with his kids, family, and friends. The funniest but richest man in the city.

Along with the many people whose lives "Eddie" made an impact on, he leaves to cherish his memory and in God's care, one son, Khyza Alexis and one daughter, Kyleiah Alexis of Jeanerette, LA; his mother, Kesha Alexis of New Iberia, LA: his father, Marcus Rankin of New Iberia, LA; one sister, Marquisha Alexis of New Iberia, LA; two brothers, Kenyon Borel, Jr., and Jody Alexis of Jeanerette, LA; his maternal grandparents, Mary Manuel of New Iberia, LA, and David Doucette Sr. of Arlington, VA; his paternal grandfather, Earl Livingston, a special friend, and mother of their kids, Diamon Bennett of Jeanerette, LA; nine aunts, Swana Alexis, Shelay Daniels, Arie Doucette, Tracie Rankin, Angie Paloade, Bridgette Linzer, Salon Moses, Tiffany, Kami, Renata, and Amber Jackson all of New Iberia, LA; four uncles, Jarmaqua Daniels, Jamal Rankin, Eric Rankin, and Earl Rankin Jr. all of New Iberia, LA.; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Markaysia Charles of New Iberia, LA; his maternal great grandparents, Rose and Isaac Alexis of New Iberia, LA; his paternal great and great-great grandmothers, Ola Mae Babineaux, and Mary Davis both of New Iberia, LA; his paternal grandmother, Claudette Bubba Rankin; two aunts, Katrina, and Monica Rankin of New Iberia, LA; one uncle, Lloyd Daniels of New Iberia, LA; his great aunt, Joann Mannifield of Houston, TX; his great uncle, Randy Livingston of New Iberia, LA;
