A Celebration of Life for Margaret Keal Coleman will be held Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Moses Baptist Church in Jeanerette, Louisiana. Mask will be required.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 19, 2022 from 9:00 A.M. until the commencement of the celebration at St. Moses Baptist Church in Jeanerette, Louisiana.
Margaret will be interred at Sorrell Community Cemetery in Sorrell, Louisiana.
Margaret Elaine Keal- Coleman was born to the late Clarence "Shine" Keal, Sr. and Luella Stewart- Keal on September 24, 1952, in Lafayette, Louisiana. Scholastically, Margaret was educated in the St. Mary Parish School System and graduated from Park Avenue High School in 1972. She later chose to further her education and attended Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Spiritually, being nurtured in a Christian home, Margaret accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age at St. Moses Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. A.D. Teno, Jr. "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11. While at St. Moses Baptist Church Margaret was a proud member of both the women's choir and mass choir. She also served on the finance committee and was willing to assist wherever needed.
Margaret was married to Alfred Coleman, Sr. for several years until God called him to glory. To this union came Shawnequa, Yolanda (Alvin) of Jeanerette, Louisiana, and Markell, who gained his wings. This union was also blessed with two more children who were welcomed with open arms. Michelle (Romalus) of Verdunville, Louisiana and Alfred (Felicia) of Leesville, Louisiana.
Margaret began her career in the retail industry. She worked at Jeanerette Mills for 24 years as a machines operator. While employed Margaret was able to make a lot of friends and developed long-lasting connections with a numerous amount of people. Later in life, Margaret became a photo lab tech at Wal-Mart for 17 years. While there she continued to impact the lives of individuals she encountered.
Margaret played a vital role in the lives of all her children, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren. She was a devoted wife and mother, beloved sister- in- law, trusted friend but most importantly God's faithful servant. She leaves behind cherished memories with all five of her children, eleven grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren. She also leaves behind cherished memories with her two God daughters, Keisha & Kasha Brown and one Godson, Landon Rhine. She will be truly missed.
In the early hours of February 8, at 7:03 A.M., the Lord called home his faithful servant. Margaret was proceeded in death by her parents; Clarence & Luella Keal, her husband, Alfred Coleman, Sr., and her son; Markell Coleman, one great grandson, Ayden M. Lanceslin and her four brothers; Cornelius Jones, Clarence Keal, Jr., William Keal, and Albert Keal.
Final arrangements have been entrusted to MK Dixon Funeral Home, 337-940-9253, 211 Main Street, Baldwin, LA 70514.
