Funeral Services for Margerite Williams Gash will be Saturday, March 11, 2017, 11:00 AM at MK DIXON Funeral Home, 211 Main Street, Baldwin, LA. Rev. Ulysses Mitchell will conduct the service.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 11, 2017, 9:00 AM until the commencement of the funeral service at MK DIXON Funeral Home.

She will be interred in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery, Ashton, LA.

Margerite Williams Gash was born October 1, 1949 in Oaklawn, LA to the union of the late Leo Gradley, Sr. and the late Louise Williams Gradley. She entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at the Post-Acute Medical Specialty Hospital of Lafayette at 10:30 AM.

Life dealt her many challenges but even in her times of adversity she was strong. She leaves behind cherished memories. She was survived by her oldest son, Marvin Wayne Gash (Althea) of Harker Heights, TX and her youngest son, Rodney Paul Gash of Franklin, LA. She leaves behind seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is survived by two sisters, Carolyn Gradley Small of Baldwin, LA and Hilda Adams of Franklin, LA, and four brothers Freddie Williams (Carolyn) of Franklin, LA, Leo Paul Gradley, Jr. (Sherita) of Franklin, LA, Calvin John Gradley of Franklin, LA, and Raymond Martin Gradley (Shawntay) of Atlanta, GA. One godchild and niece Uvonderalette LaRay Mitchell Roberson of Atlanta, GA. She is also survived by a host of devoted cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and caretakers. Some of her dearest friends and cousins were Thelma Harris and Myrtle Mickles both of TX and Ethel Gunner of Franklin, LA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Clarence "Peewee" Gash of Franklin, LA, two sisters, Leona Williams Walters and Edora Gradley Mitchell both of Franklin, LA; in-laws, Rev. Joseph Gash and Regina Gash of Franklin, LA.
