Marion Sonnier

Marion Sonnier, known for her warm spirit and dedication to family and faith, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2026. A lifelong resident of Franklin, LA, she was a cherished member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. Ulysses Mitchell.

She leaves behind her beloved daughter, Veronica Simpson, of Jeanerette, LA, along with five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and one Godson who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.

Marion was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, son, two sisters, and six brothers, with whom she is now reunited.

Friends and family are invited to honor her life with visitation on Sunday, August 23, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at MK Dixon Funeral Home in Baldwin, LA.
