Marteilan Machiavelli Mitchell was born on January 26, 2002, in Franklin, Louisiana. On June 30, 2026, he departed this earthly life, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Marteilan was a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend. He was known for his kind heart, warm smile, and gentle spirit that could brighten any room. He had a special way of making people laugh and leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met. His love for his family and friends was evident in the way he cared for those around him, and his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Marteilan attended Centerville High School, where he formed meaningful friendships and was known for his caring spirit, infectious smile, and respectful nature. He touched the lives of many and will always be remembered for the love, kindness, and joy he shared with everyone he encountered.

Marteilan leaves to cherish his precious memory his loving mother, Malai (Wayne) Lewis of Baldwin, Louisiana; his stepmother, Tina James Wise of Franklin, Louisiana; his brother, Ivory (Vaneicia) Williams III of Katy, Texas; his brother, Derrick Wise Jr. of Franklin, Louisiana; his sisters, Leiland Mitchell of Baldwin, Louisiana; Omega Mitchell-Kelker of Patterson, Louisiana; Ashantae Wise and Tierra James, both of Franklin, Louisiana; Kalaysha Alexander, Derriana Alexander, and Angel Alexander, all of Jeanerette, Louisiana; Laderricka Sutton, Angel Sutton, and Derryell Sutton; his maternal grandmother, Nuanchan Mitchell of Franklin, Louisiana; his paternal grandmother, Judy Polk of New Iberia, Louisiana; his paternal grandfather, Samuel (Wanda) Wise, Jr. of Jeanerette, Louisiana; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved father, Derrick D. Wise; his brother, Devon Sutton; and his maternal grandfather, Alfred Mitchell, Sr.

Although Marteilan’s life was far too brief, the love he shared and the memories he created will remain with us forever. While we grieve his absence, we are comforted by the countless lives he touched and the joy he brought to those around him. His legacy of love will continue to live on through his family and friends.
