Manuel Paul Willis, Sr. was born on October 4, 1963, to Doris Fleming and Clarence Willis, Jr. On September 4, 2026, Manuel departed this earthly life, leaving behind a loving family and a lifetime of memories that will forever be cherished.

Manuel was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, provider, and friend. He shared 32 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Tomika Willis. Their journey together began on June 3, 1994, and throughout the years they shared love, laughter, challenges, triumphs, and countless memories. Together, they blended their lives and created a beautiful family of seven children and eighteen grandchildren.

Manuel leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Tomika Willis; seven children, Trevin Brooks, Sr. (Joylynn Brooks) of Duson, Louisiana; Blanquita Willis and Manuel Willis, Jr., both of Franklin, Louisiana; Da’Shaunta Brooks Sr. of Baldwin, Louisiana; Sh’Quille Brooks of Abbeville, Louisiana; Dor’shea Willis of New Iberia, Louisiana; and Tiara Willis of Lafayette, Louisiana.

He also leaves eighteen grandchildren: Amara Jones, Da’Shaunta Brooks Jr., Zamaya Pace, Cadien Jackson, Gabrielle Brooks, No’Vejah Willis, Trevin Brooks, Jr., Mahogany Brooks, Jayceon Brooks, Emoni Chevalier, Jaylon Brooks, Zyren Willis, Avah Brooks, Taraji Willis, Grayson Brooks, Davante Brooks, Manuel Willis, III, and Kyrenn Brooks.

Manuel also leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Doris Fleming and Clarence Willis, Jr.; three sisters, Anita Willis and Melissa Willis, both of Baldwin, Louisiana, and Sharon Mitchell (Brian Mitchell) of New Iberia, Louisiana; along with a host of extended family members, relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, as well as aunts and uncles who passed before him.

Manuel's life will be celebrated on Saturday, September 12, 2026, 1:30 PM Special Providence Baptist Church with Supt. Donald Lancelin officiating.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM -1:30 PM at Special Providence Baptist Church.

He will be interred in Special Providence Baptist Church Cemetery, Baldwin, LA.
