Funeral Service for Melissa Joseph will be held Saturday, January 12, 2019, 11:00 AM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Franklin, LA. Rev. Noah Smith will officiate the service.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 12, 2019, from 9:00 AM until the commencement of the funeral service at Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

She will be interred in St. John Cemetery on Pecot Street, Franklin, LA.

On Thursday, January 3, 2019, Melissa Ann Joseph departed this life at Franklin Foundation Hospital following a brief illness.  Melissa was born on September 16, 1963 to the late Emma Joseph and Harold Mount and Moses Charles.  She was born in Lafayette, LA and reared in Franklin, LA.

Melissa was baptized and attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Franklin, LA under the leadership of Rev. Noah Smith.

Melissa was well respected and loved by all who met her.  She enjoyed gatherings with family and friends.   She was the "life of the party."

Melissa was a former employee of Best Western of Franklin.

Melissa leaves to cherish her memories, her father (s), Moses Charles and Harold Mount of Beaumont, TX; Significant Other, Rogers Babino of Franklin, LA; two daughters, Wanetta (George) Simon of Chalmette, LA, Rachonda (Marco) Joseph of Houston, TX; one son, Calvin (Robyn) Joseph of Franklin, LA;  one step-daughter, Tillary (Charron) Biggles of Jeanerette, LA; seven grandchildren that she loved very dearly; three sisters, Tara (Wendell) Proctor, Denise Charles, and Priscilla (Ernest) Harrison all of Franklin, LA; one brother, Moses (Cassandra) Charles, Jr.; one aunt and uncle, Lucy Joseph and Nelson Joseph, Sr. of Beaumont, TX.; a host  of nieces, nephews relatives and friends.

Melissa now joins in glory, her mother, Emma Joseph Charles; grandson, Braxton Joseph; her grandparents; Effie and Leroy Joseph; six aunts; two uncles.
