A Celebration of Life for Michael Sereal will be held Saturday, February 4, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at MK Dixon Funeral Home in Baldwin, La.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 4, 2023, from 9:00 A.M. until the commencement of the celebration at MK Dixon Funeral Home in Baldwin, La.
Michael will be interred at St. Marks Baptist Church Cemetery in Jeanerette, La.
Michael Ray Sereal was born June 5, 1960, to the late Wilmer Sereal, Sr. and Louise Wesley Sereal. Michael accepted Christ in his life at an early age and was baptized by the late Rev. Jackson at St. Mark Baptist Church in Jeanerette, LA. Michael was a devoted Miami Dolphins fan. He attended school in Iberia Parish.
Michael has two sons, a stepdaughter and three grandkids that he loved dearly. He worked at Cypress Bayou Casino for many years and then he was employed with the city of Jeanerette here he was injured and became disabled. After the passing of his parents, Michael was raised by his sister Geanetta S. Johnlouis and his brother-in-law Calvin Johnlouis, Sr.
Michael leaves to cherish his memory his two sons, Shamone Hogan and Michael Wendell Spencer both of Jeanerette, LA; one stepdaughter, LaToya Marks of Texas; two step-grandsons, Darnell Marks and Carter Marks of Texas; and one granddaughter MaLiah Marie Spencer of Jeanerette, LA; three sisters, Celestine Johnlewis, Laura M. Sereal both of Jeanerette, LA and Christine Mitchell (Abraham) of New Iberia, LA; three brothers, Benny Sereal, Larry Sereal and Willie J. Sereal all of Jeanerette, LA; one brother-in-law, Calvin Johnlewis, Sr.; one sister-in-law, Verna Sereal and one aunt, Lily H. Sereal both of Jeanerette, LA; seven godchildren, Jackie M. Minor, Darlene Johnlouis, Justin J. Barabin, Willie Johnlouis, Jr., LaDarien Williams, Odarius Colar and Anjaherelle L. Townsend; lifelong friends, Waren Smith, Butler Jackson, Howard White and Melvin Barabin.
He now joins in glory his parents, Wilmer and Louise Wesley Sereal, three brothers, Wilfred Robinson, Sr., Fred G. Sereal and Wilmer Sereal; two sisters, Sarah R. Hebert and Geanetta S. Jeanlouis; sisters-in-law, Rita Landry and Linda S. Sereal; and sister-in-law/godmother, Lillian Robinson. The memories of Michael Ray Sereal will be etched in the hearts of many.
