Min. Joseph Louis Pierre, Sr

A Celebration of Life for Minister Joseph Louis Pierre, Sr. will be held Saturday, September 19, 2020, 2:00 PM at MK Dixon Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 19, 2020 from 1:00 PM until the commencement of the funeral service at MK Dixon Funeral Home.

Minister Pierre will be interred in Little Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Verdunville, LA.

Joseph Louis Pierre, Sr., a native of Charenton, LA and resident of Franklin, LA, was born on March 2, 1943 to the late Leroy Pierre, Sr. and Leola Abraham. He passed away on Monday, September 14, 2020, surrounded by his family. He was 77 years old.

Left to cherish his memories is one son, Kevin (Paula) Pierre, Sr., Patterson, LA, two daughters, Bridgette P (Sidney) Williams, Garland, TX, and Bethany P. (Eugene) Burrell, Charenton, LA, three brothers, Leroy Pierre, Jr., Morgan City, LA, and Edward Lightfoot, Baton Rouge, LA, Clarence Lightfoot, Jr., Patterson, LA, four sisters, Barbara Hunt, New Iberia, LA, Debra (Joseph) Landry, St. Martinville, LA, Janice Pierre, Charenton, LA, Pearly Lightfoot, Patterson, LA. one aunt, Delores Abraham, one daughter-in-law, Holly Pierre, 17 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Keith Pierre. Sr. and Joseph Pierre, Jr., his parents, four brothers and one sister.
