A Celebration of Life for Sis. Myrna Marie Connor will be Saturday, October 15, 2016, 11:00 AM, MK DIXON Funeral Home, 211 Main Street, Baldwin, LA. Rev. Willie Jackson will officiate the service.
She will be interred in Sorrel Community Cemetery, Sorrel, LA.
Visitation will be Saturday, October 15, 2016, from 9:00 Am until the time of service at MK DIXON Funeral Home
Sis. Myrna Marie Connor, was born on August 1, 1958 in Lafayette, LA to the late Raymond Connor, Jr. and Maggie Leonard Connor-Fine. She received her call to glory on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at her residence in Franklin, LA.
She attended Thomas Gibbs, G.W. Hamilton and Franklin High Schools. Sis. Myrna accepted Christ as her personal Savior and was baptized at an early age by the late Reverend Harris of Nazarene Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing, playing bingo and spending time with her family.
Sis. Myrna leaves to cherish her memories to her children, two sons and one daughter: Desmond Connor, Sr.(Shawna) of Franklin, LA; Don Ray Griffin, Jr. of Lafayette, LA and Jodie Marie Connor, of Franklin, LA; four brothers: Donald Connor (Phyllis) of Charenton, LA; Arbel Connor, Sr. (Angela) of Hampton, GA; Kim Connor of Baldwin, LA and Joseph Washington (Emma Pearl) of Jeanerette, LA; four sisters: Connie Connor, Shelia Connor, and Carlene(Lema)Boutte, all of Franklin, LA; and Gwen(George)Angelle of St. Martinville, LA.; 7 grandchildren: Markayla Connor, Desmond Connor, Jr., Desiree Connor, Destiny Connor, Desiree Martin, Daniel Robertson & Desmond Martin, a devoted companion, Wendell Hensley and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Sis. Myrna was joined in glory with her parents; maternal and paternal grandparents; one brother, Burnell Connor and two great nieces, Hope LaVigne and Moriahya Jones.
