Funeral Services for Nelson Lightfoot will be held Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 1:00pm at Greater St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church, Franklin, LA

Visitation will be observed on Saturday, April 7, 2018 from 11:00am until the funeral service commences at Greater St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church.

He will be interred at Golden Queen Cemetery. Centerville, LA

Nelson Lightfoot was born December 3, 1934 in Bayou Sale, LA to the late Pearle Salone and Edward Lightfoot. He passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 in Houston, TX with loved ones by his side.

Memories of Nelson "Norman" Lightfoot will forever remain in the heart of his wife Florence "Cathy" Lightfoot of Franklin, LA; his sons, Norman Lightfoot, Anthony Lightfoot, and Tyrone Lightfoot all of Patterson, LA, Chad Lightfoot of New Orleans, LA, Travis Lightfoot of Orange, TX, and Horatio "Paul" Yelling of Houston, TX; his daughters, Patricia Monette and Geneva Domain of Houston, TX, Felicia Peters of Dallas, TX, Chelsea Sheppard of Houston, TX, Coratio Yelling of Franklin, LA, Anne Mae Navy of Bayou Vista, LA, and Stephanie Lightfoot of Berwick, LA; 39 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.
