OBITUARY FOR NENIA SUE KELLY-ALBO
November 3, 1964 – January 2, 2022
Born into a big, loving family Nenia was the seventh of eight kids born to Harold Kelly and Ruby Mae Sanders Kelly in Morgan City, Louisiana. She grew up on the Charenton levee where her parents fished and lived off the land. She moved from the Charenton levee with her family in the early 80's to Gibson where she had her first job at Gaylord's Department Store. She was a people pleaser so she always excelled at Customer Service and helping others with her kind, easy-going personality just like her Daddy. She aimed to please and always left every person feeling welcome and happy with her magnificent, larger-than-life smile, signature dimples, and green eyes that you couldn't forget. She took extreme pride in herself and her first car that her brother Dariel gave her that she proudly named "Gator". The young Nenia was full of life and ready to her make her path. She loved her brothers, sisters, and family very much. She was inseparable to her younger sister Paula as they would often finish each other's sentences.
She was a devoted Jehovah's Witness and met her husband while working the medic table at a District Convention with her sister Paula. Out of their love came four beautifully-rambunctious children, travel and residency in Nebraska, Texas, California and then back to Franklin, Louisiana where she'd embrace her new role as a single-mother of four. With the help of her parents, close family, and the congregation she would raise her children in the ministry of Jehovah's Witnesses. They may not have had a lot, but the abundance of love, sacrifice, and family bond was inseparable.
She found her career home working for the State of Louisiana Workforce One in Morgan City, Louisiana. She would always go above and beyond to serve her patrons, find them jobs, and made lasting friendships along the way. Many would return to bring her lunch, gifts, and even vegetables out of their garden as a thank you for her endless hours of work, dedication to their success, resume building, and networking forte'.
She took on her most prestigious role of being a grandmother at 49 years old. There was nothing she loved more in life than being a grandmother, they were the apple of her eyes. She leaves behind seven adoring grandchildren Addie, Jaci, Khloi, Mason, Antonio Levi, Angela and Kevin and three blessings on the way (Zoe Kelly, Josiah Alexander, and Gabriella or Gabriel tbd)
She leaves behind her four children: Melissa Vazquez and her husband Marco Antonio, Joey Albo, Nenia Delahoussaye and her husband Mathew, and Jason and his fiancee' Jasmine; her brother Harold Joseph Kelly and wife Kim, Sisters: Lois Kelly Pearce, Cheryl Clines and her husband James, Carolyn Kelly (KK), and Paula Kelly Migues and her husband Cory. A doting Kellie Mackenroth (Allen), Amber and Cody amongst many other nieces and nephews, and one steadfast fur-baby Sparky.
She is resting in Jehovah's memory and awaiting paradise to be received by her parents Harold Kelly, Ruby Mae Sanders Kelly, her sister Martha Ann Gilchrist and brother Dariel Gene Kelly.
