A Celebration of Life for Norma Burrell Morgan will be held Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Triumph Baptist Church in Franklin, Louisiana. Mask will be required.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 30, 2021, from 12:00 P.M. until the commencement of the celebration at Triumph Baptist Church.
Norma will be interred at Greater New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Baldwin, Louisiana.
Sister Norma M. Burrell Morgan was born to the late Reverend Harry and Mable Boutte Burrell on December 29, 1946, in Franklin, Louisiana. She was reared at the Katy Plantation and grew up in a Christian home. She was baptized at an early age by the late Reverend John Harris, Sr., at Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Katy.
On December 24, 1968, she was united in holy matrimony to Charles E. Morgan, Sr., and to this union three children were born: Chontel A. Morgan Lee, Charles E Morgan, Jr., and Chontrell A. Morgan Favors.
Norma served as a faithful member of the Triumph Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend Walter Moore, the late Reverend Clarence Stewart, and the present Reverend Carl Lewis, Sr. She was a member of the adult choir, where she served as the president of the choir for a number of years. She was also a member of the pastor's aid. Norma loved to sing Zion songs.
Two of her favorite songs were "If You Just Hold Out Until Tomorrow"and let's not forget "Don't Call the Role." We can all imagine she is now singing in the heavenly choir.
On Saturday, October 23, 2021, at 9:30 AM, at her residence, Norma, a beloved wife, loving mother, caring grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend departed this life to go and live with God.
Memories of Norma will forever remain in the hearts of: her loving husband of 53 years, Charles E. Morgan of Franklin, LA; her two daughters, Chontel Morgan Lee and Chontrell Morgan (Joseph) Favors, both of Franklin,LA; one stepdaughter, Nicole Nico of Atlanta, GA; five bonus sons, Norman Jones, Larry Craig, Gralyn Carr, Mark Bell, and Calvin Burrell, Jr.; her grandchildren, Ireion, Azireion Charleston, Kharlei, ANyrion Azireion, Kaeitlin, Cory, AlJ'rae,TyAjah, T'layah, Kebreonte, Mi'Keonte, Joycelyn, Bre, Quincy Jr., Areyana; great-grandchildren, Chance, Channing, Kayden, and Ky'lein; three sisters, Mable Burrell of Houston, TX, Laura Burrell of Orlando, FL, and Jackie (Kenneth) Clark of Franklin, LA; six brothers, George (Isabella) Burrell of Bossier City, LA, Freddie Burrell and James Burrell of Baldwin, LA, Alvin (Sandra) Burrell and Carlton Burrell of Franklin, LA, and David Burrell of Houston, TX; one great-uncle,Roland Boutte of Abbeville, LA twelve godchildren, Barbara Matthews, Lenard Washington, Sr., Tina Perkins, Tyandria Burrell, Norman Jones, Derrick Miller, Darnita McDaniel Rivera, Michelle' Green, Wesley Simmons, Jr., Acacia Freeman, John Mario Jackson, and Alana Stackhouse; sisters-in-law, Viola Burrell, Barbara Burrell, Hattie Johnson Burrell, Marilyn Edwards, Clara Wade, Hilda Simmons, and Dorothy Hypolite; and two brothers-in-law, Abe Morgan and Abron Morgan; close friends, Mary Ann Conley, Cheryl Butler, Shirley Robinson, and Beulah Wilson.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents, Reverend Harry Burrell and Mable Burrell; one son, Charles E. Morgan, Jr.; brothers, Lee (JC) Burrell, Morris Burrell, Horace (Lacy) Burrell, Robert Burrell, and Harold (Sightless) Edwards; one brother-in-law; six sisters-in-law; a special friend, Mary Ann Polidore; and a host of other relatives and friends.
