God the author of life and death called his faithful servant, Norman Tarleton, home to eternal rest. This beautiful and blessed transition happened on Monday, June 26, 2023. He passed peacefully, exchanging mortality for immortality, corruptible for incorruptible. On that glorious day, death was swallowed up in victory.

Norman Tarleton was born on July 18, 1948, to the late Bethel Tarleton and Ruby Perry Tarleton in Patterson, La, Norman was a family man, the life of the party, and was known to bring his family and friends together. He loved to travel, do handy work, and was a true jack of all trades. When he rededicated his life to christ, he was an active member of his church and loved singing in the choir.

Norman graduated from Hattie A Watts High school Class of 1967 Patterson La. Shortly after graduating high school Norman enlisted in the United States Army in 1967 and was honorable discharged with National defense service medal, Vietnam service medal W/1 Bronze Service Star Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Commendation Medal, and Expert Rifle.

In 1973, Norman joined Bellsouth as a lineman and retired after 28+ years of service. He was a business owner of Norman's Laundromat in Patterson, La, and an all around handyman and jack of all trades.

Norman was joined in Holy Matrimony with Lula Tarleton and together they reared their children, DeAnna Tarleton, Terence Tarleton, DaBrica Derousselle, Shimica Derousselle, and Ronald C. Derousselle.

Norman was a devoted and faithful husband, a loving father, grandfather, a beloved brother, and a special friend. He was guiding light to all who knew him. He will be sorely missed by his loving and devoted wife, Lula Tarleton; children, DeAnna Tarleton, Terence Tarleton, DaBrica Derousselle, Shimica Derousselle, and Ronald Derousselle; grandchildren, DeKirsten Tarleton Bailey, Jarnesha Derousselle; Dontrelle Derousselle, Justin Rollins Jr., Mikal Derousselle, and Riley Anderson; siblings, Lucy Mae Bates, Constance Tarleton, Betty Jean Haynes, Sandra (Jerry) Cross, John Tarleton, and Edna (Jonathan) Wilmore; Godchild, Laneisha Washington; two great grandchildren and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father; siblings, Gerald Tarleton, Claudrey Hartman, Audrey Ott, Esther Riles, and Ruby Faye Hoskins.
