Ola Vee Schexnayder Clavelle

A Celebration of Life for Ola Vee Schexnayder Clavelle will be held Saturday, February 27, 2021, 1:00 PM at First Jerusalem Baptist Church, Jeanerette, LA. Rev Arthur Lee Alexander, Pastor, Rev. Craig Matthews, Eulogist.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 27, 2021, from 11:00 AM until the commencement of the service at First Jerusalem Baptist Church.

"Ola" will be interred in Heavenly Rest Cemetery, Jeanerette, LA.

The third of six children, a native and a life long resident of Jeanerette, LA, Ola Vee Schexnayder Clavelle was born on October 18, 1951 to the union of the late Clifford Schexnayder and Elizabeth Jones Schexnayder. God in his infinite wisdom called her home to rest on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at her residence. "Ola" known by all was a very down to earth person, she was known for saying how she felt and meaning what she said, and that was that. She was an outstanding mother to her children and a phenomenal grandmother to her grandchildren. "Ola" attended Boley High School and she later became the homemaker for her family.

"Ola" was joined in Holy Matrimony to Moses Clavelle, Sr. and together they reared their children into one big happy family filled with love and laughter.

"Ola" leaves to cherish her memories and carry on her legacy four daughters; Cheryl Lewis, Chandra Lewis, Treynell (Traville) Frederick, all of Jeanerette, LA, Shonette Clavelle of Oklahoma, five sons, Kerry (Tearsa) and Greg Clavelle, Sr. of Jeanerette, LA, Moses (Stella) Clavelle, Jr. of New Iberia, LA, Shannon (Sheric) Clavelle, Sr. of Charenton, LA, and Sean (Crystal) Clavelle of New Orleans, LA, grandchildren, Chelsey (Anthony) Johnson, Malik Lewis, Jadden Lewis, Jadda Lewis, Kiristen Lewis, Alexis Harding, Traville Frederick, Jr., Keri'Yona Clavelle, Keri'Elle Clavelle, Trae'lyn Frederick, Tae'lyn Frederick, Gregory Clavelle, Jr., Shannon (Jasmine) Clavelle, Jr., Crysean Clavelle, Sean Clavelle, Jr., Summer Clavelle, Kaysean Clavelle, Shavonni Eugene, Taylor Clavelle, Bailey Clavelle, Sydney Clavelle, Derek (Carly) McCartney, Carliss (Jacob) Shinault, Chanetta (Reginald) Cook, Earl Sparrow, one special granddaughter Jalesa Hurst, one special Godchild Carol Williams, one sister Judy (Keith) Lewis, one brother Michael (Linda) Schexnayder and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

"Ola" is now rejoicing in heaven with her husband Moses Clavelle, Sr., her daughter Tina Lewis, parents Clifford and Elizabeth Jones Schexnayder, sister Jacqueline H. Schexnayder, brothers, Clifford Schexnayder, Jr. and Gregory Jones.
