Oliver Eustace Patterson Sterling

Funeral Service for Oliver Eustace Patterson Sterling will be held Saturday, August 3, 2019, 11:00 AM at Trinity United Methodist Church, 2600 Holman St., Houston, TX 77004. Rev Ed C Jones, III, pastor, will officiate the service.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 3, 2019, from 9:00 AM until the time of service at Trinity UMC.

Mr. Sterling will be laid to rest following a 9:45 AM graveside service on Monday, August 5, 2019 at Houston National Cemetery.

Oliver Eustace Patterson Sterling was born on September 11, 1941, in Bryan, Texas to Reba Patterson and Earsie Holliday. With his mother, he was raised by his step-father Henry Sterling Sr. along with his siblings Henry and Anthony.

Preceding him in death, were his parents Reba Patterson, Earsie Holliday, his stepfather Henry Sterling Sr.; his stepsister Ethel Lee Sterling Warren, his brother Anthony Sterling, and granddaughter Kerisha Chanelle Hearne.

Oliver's legacy will live on in the hearts of his family which includes his wife Lillie M. Bowser Sterling; one daughter Rolanda L. Sterling Hearne (Kerry) and one son DeJuan E. Sterling both of Houston, Texas; grandchildren LeDacia, Kerry II, Kierra, and Le'Aundria; one great-grandson Darrien; one brother Henry Sterling Jr. (Norma) and children of Houston, TX; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
