A Celebration of Life for Paul C. Lewis will be held Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 12:00 P.M. at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, 4445 Avenue A, in Beaumont, TX 77705. Mask will be required.
Paul Christopher "Java" Lewis was born on July 26, 1950 to the late Mary C. and Joseph C. Lewis in Church Point, La. where he completed his education at West Church Point High. After completing high school, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he served our country bravely in the Vietnam War. After returning home from the service, Paul moved to Beaumont, TX which became his home for over 30 years. He was employed by Gulfco Machine and Supply Company until his retirement after many years.
On July 23, 1995, he married the love of his life, Jerri Lewis, where he remained by her side until her earthly departure on January 24, 2017.
Java's favorite hobbies included cooking his many special dishes and having family and friends enjoy those dishes. He also loved gardening and planting beautiful flowers and fresh fruit and vegetables.
Java departed this life on Monday, May 10, 2021. He is survived by four brothers, five sisters, a sister in law, a brother in law, and his Godmother. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and godchildren.
He is preceded in death by both of his parents, his wife, his son, his sister, a niece, and a nephew.
