Funeral Service for Pearl Loraine Loston Mason will be Saturday, October 27, 2018, 11:00 AM at St. John Baptist Church, Four Corners, LA. Min Terrance Slaughter will officiate the service.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 27, 2018, from 9:00 AM until the commencement of the funeral service at St. John Baptist Church.

PEARL LORAINE LOSTON MASON , a native of South Coast Plantation, and resident of Jeanerette, Louisiana, was born February 5, 1961 to Lawrence and Audrey Wagner Loston.

Pearl known by family and friends as "LoLo" had an inner warmth and fullness of heart that overflowed in smiles and a meal to many souls she crossed on her journey.

Cooking was her passion and she passed on family history to the many nieces, nephews and godchildren she loved as her own. Lolo had a knack for remembering everyone in the family's birthday.

Pearl confessed her faith in Christ and was baptized in 1985 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Patoutville. She found love in Andrew Mason and the two were married on September 12, 1988. The marriage dissolved in July of 1996, but the friendship endured throughout Pearl's Life. No children were born to their union.

Pearl was employed by several restaurants throughout Texas and Louisiana including Landry's in Jeanerette, family owned restaurants in Baldwin, Louisiana and Austin, Texas and IHOP in Killeen, Texas. She spent 32 years of her life as a Texas resident where she was also  known as a friendly head cook.

Pearl is a 1981 graduate of Franklin Senior High School.

She leaves to cherish her memory her siblings Lawrence (Virginia) Loston, Mary Nell Loston of LaMarque, Texas, Brenda Davis of Texas City, Tx  Paulette Rodriguez, Jaqueline Smith, Ronald Loston, and Tommy Loston, all of Jeanerette, La. Gaylord (Sherry) Loston of New Iberia, La. Gloria Loston of Baldwin, La and Timothy (Claudia) Loston of Opelousas. Her godchildren, Ahmad Wilson, Jerkeithia Maddox, Kelis Burgess, Briante Edmond, Betty Mason, Charlene Mason, Destiney Washington, and Erica Mason. Her aunts Dorothy Boyd of Hitchcock, Texas, Florida "Mae" Williams, of Jeanerette, La. Genevieve "Jane" Slaughter of Patoutville and Louise "Lou" Phillip of LaMarque, Texas. A special cousin and friend Janice "Boose" Sonnier, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Pearl was preceded in death by her parents Lawrence and Audrey Loston. Her maternal grandmother Louverna Wagner, her maternal grandfather Alton Wagner, Sr. Her paternal grandmother Lilly Charles Loston and her paternal grandfather Sanders Loston. Her brothers Charles "Butch" Loston and George Loston.
