A Celebration of Life for Percy Edwards, will be held Thursday, November 5, 2026, 1:00 PM at MK Dixon Funeral Home in Baldwin, LA

Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM, until the commencement of the celebration at MK Dixon Funeral Home in Baldwin, LA

Percy James Edwards was born on March 29, 1959, to the late Mr. Isaac Edwards Sr. and Mrs. Mable Larry Edwards in Lafayette, Louisiana. He departed this life on October 26, 2026, after a long battle with cancer.

As a child, Percy was educated in the St. Mary Parish School System. Throughout his adulthood, he was known as a hardworking and dedicated man. Percy was employed by the Town of Baldwin for 17 years. He also served as a volunteer first responder with the Baldwin Fire Department until his retirement in 2014.

Percy leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Tina Edwards of Houma, Louisiana; four stepchildren: Kimberly (Richard) Bob of Baldwin, Louisiana; Bobby Bolden of Franklin, Louisiana; Anthony (Dominique) Richard Sr. of Belle Chase, Louisiana; and Janay Fredrick of Lafayette, Louisiana; six grandchildren: Jaydon Richard, Dezmond Lewis, Jordan Richard, Anthony Richard Jr., Ja’Kyran Smalls, and Kailey Bolden; one godchild, Shakira Singleton of Franklin, Louisiana; three brothers: Isaac (MaryAnn) Edwards Jr. and Michael Edwards, both of Centerville, Louisiana, and Anthony Ray (Edna) Edwards of New Iberia, Louisiana; one brother-in-law, Calvin Babino of New Iberia, Louisiana; two sisters-in-law: Tracy (Grant) Verdun of Thibodaux, Louisiana, and Tawana Carson of Youngsville, Louisiana; a devoted friend, Dennis Colbert; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Isaac Edwards Sr. and Mable Larry Edwards, and his sister, Linda Edwards Babino.
