A Graveside Service for Rayburn Claridy will be held Thursday, July 9, 2020, 12:00 Noon at Trinity UMC Cemetery with Pastor Darlene Moore officiating.
Rayburn Claridy, son of the late Redoulia Elizabeth Patrick and Royal Lee Claridy, was born on October 20, 1968. Rayburn was the youngest of six siblings.
Rayburn was a graduate of Franklin Senior High School. He earned his diploma in 1987. He attended the University of Southwestern Louisiana (USL) with a concentration in History. During this time, he gained a wealth of knowledge that he shared via his extensive vocabulary. His mother instilled in him a passion for reading, spelling, and writing. He enjoyed calligraphy writing. In fact, he often traveled with a notebook. He constantly pursued knowledge and inspiration.
Rayburn slipped away from this side to be with God suddenly on Friday, July 3, 2020. The world is undoubtedly without his most splendid light; however, his spirit will live on through the graciousness, immeasurable kindness, and compassion he presented to everyone who knew and adored him. We will search the stars for your brilliant light, Rayburn. Fly High.
He leaves cherished memories with his siblings: Royal (Clarita) Clarity Bell (Clayton, North Carolina) Robin Claridy (Beaumont, TX); Royette (Joshua) Thomas (Elton, LA); Roynita Claridy (Baldwin, LA) and Rosalind Benekin (Evans, GA); Five nieces and nephews: Kimberly Richard-Bob, Arthur Adams, III, Devon Marks, Jre'Dayln and Ja'Liyah Thomas; Nine great-nieces and nephews; One Uncle, Edward "June" (Olivia Sue) Patrick, Jr. (Four Corners, LA); Two Aunts, Eliza (Cornell) Collins (Baldwin, LA); and Barbara L.
