A Memorial Service honoring the life of Robert E. Charles will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2015, 6:00 PM at MK Dixon Funeral Home, 211 Main Street, Baldwin, LA. Rev. Robert Purvey, pastor of The Living Word Baptist Church, Franklin, LA, will conduct the services.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 8, 2015, from 4:00 PM until the time of service.
Mr. Robert Earl Charles was to born the late Chester Charles, Sr. and Ruby August Charles in Glencoe, Louisiana. He departed this life on March 30, 2015, at his home in Four Corners, Louisiana.
Robert attended Thomas Gibbs Elementary and Park Avenue High School, where he received his high school diploma. He then furthered his education at USL. He was later drafted into the US Military in 1970. He honorably served in the US Army for 2 years and 6 months. He was later released from duty with an honorable discharge.
He leaves to mourn one brother, Chester Charles, Jr. of Atlanta, Georgia and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Chester and Ruby Charles, three sisters, Shirley Colbert, Ruby Mae Breaux, and Octavia Williams, and one brother Elton James Charles. His soul is now journeying through the universe to a higher dimension. The universe awaits. 999
