Mr. Samuel Peter Williams, Jr. was born October 13, 1946 in Cottonport, LA. He was one of nine children born to Samuel Peter Williams, Sr. and Virginia Williams.
Sammy, as he is most commonly called, graduated from Bunkie High School and went on to attend and graduate from Grambling College.
It was there (GSU) that he met and later married the love of his life, Geraldine Edwards, on January 13, 1968. To this union three sons were born; Shannon Ray Williams, Tristan Donell Williams and Samuel Peter (Petey) Williams, III.
Sam accepted Christ as the head of his life. He joined our Lady of Rosary Catholic Church in Jeanerette, La. He was dedicated to his church and faithfully served in numerous capacities for many years until his health no longer allowed him to do so.
Sammy served his country in the United States Army. He worked as a warehouse supervisor at Cabot Corporation and retired from there after about 30 years of service. He soon after went into the lawn service where he met and acquired many lasting customers and friendships.
On Sunday, October 4, 2015, our precious Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, reached out and took the hand of his servant, Samuel Williams, Jr. and guided him to eternal peace.
