Sandra Dumas

A Celebration of Life for Sandra Dumas, will be held Saturday, July 6, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at Triumph Baptist Church in Franklin, LA.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 6, 2024, from 9:00 A.M. until the commencement of the celebration at Triumph Baptist Church in Franklin, LA.

Sandra will be interred at Nazerene Cemetery in Verdunville, LA.

Sandra Guy Dumas was born March 25,1954 in Franklin LA, to the union of the late Robert Guy, Sr. and Celestine Wright Guy.

Sandra attend public school in St.Mary Parish School System. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by the late Johnny Carr, Sr. at Alice C.  At the time of her demise Sandra was a member of Triumph Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Carl F. Lewis.

In her spare time, she loved spending time with her grandchildren & great grandson Laysen. She loves to watch game shows, cooking, & making her famous bread pudding.

She leaves to cherish her memories to her very devoted husband, Wesley Dumas of Vacheries, LA together for 50 years, married for 28 years; two lovely daughters, Monica Grogan and Laconda Key both of Franklin, LA; three beautiful granddaughters, La'Teyana McDaniel & La'Kayla Key both of Franklin, LA, and Marshayla Grogan of Lafayette,LA; one great grandson, Laysen Hogan; one godchild, Alfred Lancelin (A.J.); four sisters, Barbara Johnson (Rev.Robert L. Johnson), Cheryl Lewis (Micheal Lewis Sr.) both of Franklin, LA, Patricia Singleton (A.J. Anderson) of Lafayette, LA, Lorris Kelly (Rev. Michael Kelly) of Abbeville, LA; two brothers, Rodney Guy (Tammy) of Baker, LA, & Louis Darby of Franklin, LA; two uncles, Manuel Booker of Franklin, LA, & Jame Booker (Patricia) of Beaumont, TX; five best friends,Elizabeth Smith,  Carlix Randle, Y'vonne Francis, Paulette Guy Layton & Kathy Lightfoot; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Guy Sr, and Celestine Wright Guy; one grandson, DeVante Harding; loving mother-in-law, Marie Dumas; one sister, Gwendolyn Guy/Bowie; one brother, Robert Guy Jr; two uncles, Rev. Lloyd & Floyd Booker;  brother-in- law, Rev. Robert L. Johnson; Honorable Lawrence Bowie, Rev.Michael Kelly, Michael Lewis Sr. (Weechy); great nephew, Braylen Brayshaw Foulcard; two best friends, Eulie Williams,Jean Haynes.
