A Celebration of Life for Shalonda Butler, will be held Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Patterson Civic Center in Patterson, LA.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 2, 2025, from 12:00 PM until the commencement of the celebration at Patterson Civic Center in Patterson, LA.

Shalonda will be interred at New Salem Cemetery in Patterson, LA.

On Wednesday, July 23, 2025, Shalonda Monique Butler, transitioned from mortality to immortality and entered from labor to reward. Shalonda affectionately known as Pig, was born on December 10, 1989, to Yolanda J. Butler and the late Dana Pollard.

At a young age, she was indeed a true character, never afraid to speak her mind but always ready to enjoy the very essence of life.

Shalonda was a 2007 graduate of Patterson High School. She accepted Christ at a young age and later became a member of the Good Hope Baptist Church in Patterson, LA. Shalonda was the proud mother of two beautiful children.

Always having a love for her hometown and as she was everyone's cousin, Shalonda was indeed a Williams Street girl! She was never afraid to enjoy her life.

Shalonda's work ethic was unmatched as she believed in providing for children as well as her family. She enjoyed cooking, partying, and hanging out with her cousins, family, and friends.

Shalonda leaves to cherish her precious memories her children, Javontae Griffin & Taliah Butler; mother, Yolanda J. Butler; two father figures, Lynwood Darby, Jr. & Ulyssess Knight, III; sisters, Dorshae (Raylon) May, Gail Harris, Ebonique Darby, Jada & Samira Knight & Mariah Johnson; brothers, Lyndon Butler, Damon Guy, & Kevin Clark; bonus children, Khialin Bailey, Travis Griffin, Jr., Makhi, Nylan, & Noah Engleton; grandfather.
