Shelia Lewis

A Celebration of Life for Shelia Lewis will be held Saturday, September 12, 2020, 1:00 PM at MK Dixon Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 12, 2020 from 11:00 AM until the commencement of the funeral service at MK Dixon Funeral Home.

Mrs. Lewis will be interred in Sorrel Community Cemetery.

Shelia Marie Lewis passed on Tuesday, September 01, 2020. Shelia was born on February 23, 1961 to the union of the late James Bradley and Bobbie Jean Clay-Wolfe, whose now ajoined with Artis Wolfe.

Shelia was a resident of Sorrell, La., and a native of Jeanerette,La., raised by her grandmother Leona Clay with the support of her aunt Rosa Lee Jeanlouis, Shirley Bessard, and Betty Williams.

On October 08,1977, Shelia and James C. Lewis Sr.(Hippie), were joined in Holy Matrimony in Sorrell, La. James and Shelia was blessed with 42 years of loving marriage. During the years she was a devoted housewife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, daughter, sister , and friend.

She leaves to cherish her loving husband James, her eight children James Lewis Jr., Joseph Lewis(Shaina), Jermaine Lewis(Robin), of Jeanerette, La., Aleisha Lewis, Kendell Lewis, Isaiah Lewis, April Lewis(Quinn) of Sorrell, La., Kenneth Lewis(Shalan) of New Iberia, La., seven grandchildren Jasmine Lewis, Brycen Williams, Cam"Ren Lewis, Brayden Williams, Quinn Lewis Jr., Joseph Lewis, Jr., and Aubree Lewis. Her mother Bobbie Jean Wolfe(Artis) of Beaumont , Tx. Two sisters Leona Matthews(Chris) of Houston, Tx. and Manola Farve(Earl) of Beaumont, Tx. One brother Alvin Bradley(Joanne) of Beaumont, Tx. One godchild Danason Rhine Jr. of New Iberia, La. Her mother-in-law Anna Mae Rhine Teno of Sorrell, La. Three brother in laws Zecharya Shearyahshub(Salihah), Aurthur Lewis of Port Arthur, Tx., and Donald Lulther of Gibson, La. Eight sister in laws Carla Lewis of Port Arthur, Tx., Marla Rhine of Jeanerettte, La., Tricia Randle(Lonnie) of LaPlace, La., Anna Hill (Brandie)of Cypress, Tx., Emma Diggs(Myron), Tony Purner(Charles), Evith Berrow(Adam), Denna Lulther(Dave) of Gibson, La. an a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Friends.

Shelia was preceded in death by her father James Bradley, sister Mona Bradley, two brothers Reginald Simon and James Bradley, two grandmothers Leona Clay and Fannie Williams, two grandfathers Robert Clay Sr. and Alfred Williams, a daughter in law Tracey Lewis and a brother in law Philliph Lulther.
