A Celebration of Life for Shirley Williams, will be held Thursday, June 13, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at MK Dixon Funeral Home in Baldwin, LA.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 13, 2024, from 9:00 A.M. until the commencement of the celebration at  MK Dixon Funeral Home in Baldwin, LA.

Shirley will be interred at Sorrel Community Cemetery in Sorrel, LA.

Ms. Shirley Williams, age 71, was a resident and native of Jeanerette, Louisiana.

Shirley, passed away peacefully at Maison Teche Nursing Center on Friday, June 7, 2024.

Shirley was born on September 2, 1952 to the late Beulah Loston Williams and Chester Williams. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many. Her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

In her younger years, Shirley worked at Cypress Bayou Casino and was known for her strong work ethic and dedication to her job. After her retirement, she continued to work as a housekeeper at Consolotta and Maison Teche Nursing Centers. In her free time, she enjoyed getting pedicures, watching movies, and spending time with her puppy Harli.

Shirley is survived by her loving family which includes one daughter, Tania Crosby (Patrick Roberts) of Jeanerette, Louisiana; two sons, Alvin Crosby (Alicia McKinney) of Houston, Texas and Jamie Crosby (Crystal Wilson) also of Houston Texas; three sisters, Delores Fontenot and Barbara Williams of Jeanerette, Louisiana; Fannie Williams of Franklin, Louisiana; one brother: Lester Williams of Jeanerette, La; four granddaughters, Tandraer Crosby of Lafayette, LA; Kevonna Marks (Garome Collins) of Four Corners, Louisiana; Domonique Crosby of New Orleans, Louisiana; and Destiny Crosby of Houston, Texas; three grandsons, Travion Crosby, DeAndre Crosby, and Javon Crosby all of Houston, Texas; one great-grandson, Centrell Howard Jr. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched.

She was preceded in death by her parents Beulah Loston Williams and Chester Williams, and her son, Tyrone Crosby.
