A Mass of Christian Burial for Theresa Valery Boutte Dejean will be held Tuesday, May 30, 2017, 11:00 AM at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Lydia, LA. Fr. Richard Broussard will be the celebrant.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 30, 2017, from 9:00 AM until the Mass begins at St. Nicholas Catholic Church.
She will be buried in St. Nicholas Catholic Church Cemetery.
Theresa Valery Boutte Dejean, a native of Grand Marais, LA and a resident of Jeanerette, LA, was born on October 2, 1942 to the late Isidore Boutte and Francis Lucille Boutte. She went home to glory on Monday, May 22, 2017 at her residence following a brief illness.
She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church where she continued to attend Mass until her illness.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 55 years, Milton Dejean, Sr.; six children, Milton Dejean (Sharon), Michael (Gail) Dejean, Francis (Wayde, Sr.) Berthelot, Patricia (Erwin) Sam, Peter Dejean (Alana), Erick Dejean (Mindy) ; one sister, Rita Boutte Raymond, 22 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, a very special friend, Valery Rhine; Brothers-in-law, Jesse Williams, Nelson Dejean, Elton Dejean; sisters-in-law, Annie Dejean Linton, Stephanie Dejean Paul; two special cousins, Jacqueline Boutte and Linda Allen, along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Theresa was preceded in death by her parents, Isidore Boutte and Francis Lucille Boutte; one brother, George Boutte, Sr.; two nephews, Joseph Leroy Raymond and George Boutte, Jr.; father-in-law, Vivian Dejean.Sr.; mother-in-law, Loriska Clay Dejean; brothers-in-law, Vivian Dejean, Jr., Ernest Dejean, Sr., Irving Dejean, Nolan Dejean, Allen Dejean, and Walter Dejean; sisters-in-law, Birdie Mae Dejean, Daisy Dejean; and daughter-in-law, Rachel Ward Dejean.
