Ulysses Cross

A Celebration of Life for Ulysses Cross, will be held Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at MK Dixon Funeral Home in Baldwin, La.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 21, 2023 from 9:00 A.M. until the commencement of the celebration at MK Dixon Funeral Home in Baldwin, La.

Ulysses will be interred at St. John Pecot Cemetery in Franklin, La.

Ulysses Cross was born December 19, 1960, to the late Samuel Cross, Jr. and Virginia Lee Cross. He was a native of Franklin, La and loved spending time with his family

Ulysses accepted God at an early age and was baptized at the First Apostolic Church of New Iberia by Pastor Michael Peachtree. His love of traveling took him to Spokane, Washington where he resided until his passing. Ulysses had a passion and love for cooking.

Professionally, Ulysses worked for Bayou Sales Contractor until he retired.

It is known that our Lord God never makes mistakes and in His infinite wisdom deemed it timely on Thursday, January 5, 2023, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane, Washington, to call his son to eternal rest. Ulysess's departure leaves a deep and personal loss to all who loved him and who were blessed to share precious moments in his life. Although, he will sorrowfully be missed, there is peace in knowing that we can confidently say, to be absent from the body is to be present with our Lord.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Brenda M. Cross; his beloved mother, Virginia L. Cross; one son, Travis C. Cross; one daughter, Shelby C. Kramer; one brother, Jerry (Sandra) Cross; seven grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Samuel Cross, Jr.; one brother, Allen Charles Cross.
