Vallerie Carter

Vallerie G. Carter, 71, of Charenton, Louisiana passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2023, after a lengthy illness.

Vallerie was born on October 2, 1951, to Wilbert and Melveola F. Guy of Franklin, Louisiana. After Vallerie graduated from Park Avenue High School in 1968, she went on to pursue a degree at Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Shortly after leaving college, Vallerie began working at Cabot Corporation; where she was employed for 33 years as a Lab Technician, before retiring in 2016.

In 1985, Vallerie met Jerial Carter at Cabot Corp. and they married a year later. Vallerie and Jerial began their lives together with their children, Carmen, Todd, Tiersa, and Kristen.

Vallerie was predeceased by her father, Wilbert Guy and siblings Constance Butler, Darrell Guy, and Iris Spain. She is survived by her husband, Jerial Carter; her children Carmen McZeal (Kevin) of Spring, TX, Todd Carter (Tamika) of Charenton, La., Tiersa Daniels (Joe) of Franklin, La., and Kristen Dwyer of Franklin; her mother, Melveola Guy; and siblings, Wilbert Guy, Jr. and Paulette Layton, as well as a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
