Warren Albert "Fuzzy" Smith was born on June 23, 1937, to the late Albert W. Smith and Flossie "Mama Abby" Joseph Smith of Jeanerette, Louisiana.  He was the oldest of five children born to this blessed union.

Warren Albert accepted Christ at an early age, where his parents instilled in him the importance of the Lord and Savior.  He was a faithful member of First Jerusalem Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. Arthur Alexander (whom he viewed as a son) until his health declined.

After 87 earthly years, Warren Albert answered his Master's call and departed his earthly life at 11:50 am on Thursday, 23 January 2025 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family.

Fuzzy attended school in Jeanerette, Louisiana, where he graduated from Jeanerette Colored High. After graduation, he enlisted in the United State Navy. Upon returning to Jeanerette he married his high school sweetheart, Willie Mae Tate. Fuzzy was a licensed carpenter and a perfectionist at his work. His work is displayed around many homes and businesses in the Jeanerette and surrounding area, including at First Jerusalem Baptist Church. In addition, he worked at J. Ray McDermott for many years.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories his children; Wayne (Detria) Smith, Allena (Alfred) Price of Clinton, MS.,  Darlene (Wilton) Gibson, James Smith, Lisa (Paul) Richard, Byron (Felicia) Smith of Missouri City, TX., Warren (Laura) Smith, Kenneth (Lisa) Smith of Hahnville, LA., Dr. Samona Smith (Wrenwick) Drexler, Willie (Angela) Smith of Franklin, LA., Jonathan Smith of New Iberia, LA., and Demetra Smith (significant other Eric Metz); one brother, Jerry Lynn (Linda) Smith of Missouri City, TX., one sister Evelyn (Burnell) Richardson of Winnsboro, LA., brothers in-law Elder Clifton (Janice) Tate and Roy Allen Tate; sisters in-law Cecila Smith, Barbara Alexander, Gail Clark, and Pamela Tate; two bonus sons Rev. Dynell (Karen) Jones of Youngsville, LA., and Warner Colbert. He also leaves to cherish fond memories 36 Grandchildren, 63 Great Grandchildren, and 10 Great-great Grandchildren;  Joyce Hensley his only Godchild, who took great care of him and for that we are forever grateful; Dr. Pearl T. Andrews a Special Cousin and close confidant; Willie "Pop" Wilson a Very Special friend who was there every day, even though all they did was fussed, and Mr. Keith Lewis who faithfully called to check on him every day, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

His final journey reunites him with his wife, Willie Mae Tate Smith; parents  Albert and Flossie Smith; son Dwan Smith; brothers Leroy and Robert Smith; grandchildren Trevalon Antoine, Jared Chavis, and Ty'Asia Smith; mother and father-in-law Willie and Emily Tate; as well as three brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law.
