A Celebration of Life for Willie Frank, will be held Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Charenton, LA.
Visitation will be Saturday, November 16, 2024, from 8:00 AM until the commencement of the celebration at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Charenton, LA.
Willie will be interred at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Cemetery in Charenton, LA.
On Thursday, Nov. 7, 2024, God in his infinite wisdom saw it befitting to call into heavenly rest the soul of his servant, Willie Frank. Willie was one of six children, born to the union of Edward and Dora Frank. Willie was born on Feb. 3, 1954 in New Orleans, LA where he lived most of his life. He was educated in the New Orleans Public School System, graduating from Booker T. Washington Senior High School. He was baptized at an early age, later worshipping at New Hope Baptist Church under the leadership of the Late Rev John Raphael. After Katrina he relocated to Charenton where he united with Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Paul Godfrey where he sung in the Male Chorus.
Willie was employed by BOH Bros Construction in New Orleans and Bayou Pipe at the Port of Iberia.
On Aug 10, 1991, Wille was united in holy matrimony with Debra Ann Frank.
He was preceded in death by his mom and dad, Edward and Dora Frank, as well as his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Willie is survived by his wife of 33 years, Debra Frank; his children Demetris Johnson (Terry) and Trenell Campbell of New Orleans, LA, Briana Frank and Branden Whatley of Houston, TX; three brothers, Edward Frank, Jr. (Aliska), Eugene Frank (Patricia) of New Orleans, LA, Joseph Frank (Karen) of Houston, TX; two sisters, Rachel Penns of Baton Rouge, LA and Lillie Stewart of New Orleans, LA; three grandchildren, Javone Jackson (DJ), Terronica Johnson and Terranisha Johnson; three great grandchildren, Jamyon Jackson, Ja'Kira Mouton and Tavonne Jackson; mother-in-law, Eunice Phillips and sister-in-law Denise Whatley (Leslie) and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
