A Graveside Celebration of Life will be held for Yolanda "Beyon" Navy Jenkins on Saturday, June 20, 2020, 1:00 PM at Greater New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday, June 19, 2020 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at MK Dixon Funeral Home (at the request of the family, masks are required).
Yolanda Navy-Jenkins was born to Laurie Navy & Larry McCoy at Franklin Foundation Hospital, Franklin, LA on May 15, 1974.
Yolanda accepted Christ at a very early age, and was baptized by the late Rev. Joseph Fields at Greater St. Steven Baptist Church, Oxford, La, she later joined Special Providence Baptist Church and then later joined Greater New Baptist Church.
Yolanda attended Franklin Sr. High School, after graduating she attended the University of Louisiana Lafayette.
She met Brian "Buck" Jenkins while working at Cypress Bayou Casino in early 1993 and later married. Through the union 2 beautiful daughters was born Yaharian Jenkins and Yakaylan Jenkins, older son Treayolon Navy. Beyon was known for her humble quite spirit, and her extreme couponing. Yolanda loved to sing her songs of praise. Yolanda loved her husband and children so much ,they never had to lift a finger. She always loved theme parties and events. Her words " I'm from Louisiana and we will have a party for anything even for funerals".
She moved to Georgia in 1998 and joined Saving Grace Christian Church, Riverdale, GA where she was currently a member.
Yolanda will be dearly missed by her loved ones. She is survived by her husband, Brian "Buck" Jenkins, her mother, Laurie "Ann" Navy, her three children, Treayolon Navy, Yaharian Jenkins & Yakaylan Jenkins, her sister/best friend, Torie (Gus)Young, Natasha McCoy, Cellie McCoy, father, Larry McCoy and Lester Levine, two brothers, Mallory (Lakesha) Navy Sr. & Jemiyi Navy Sr. One grandson, Aiden Navy, her sister/cousin/bestfriend Errickkeyona (Jarvis) Minix and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
She is preceded in death by her daughter Yatravian Jenkins, Grandparents Rufus & Dora Navy, Willie & Cora McCoy and Step- father Patrick (Selah) Colar.
Yolanda Navy-Jenkins was called home on June 9, 2020 of natural causes.
