Joshua Alfred

A Celebration of Life for Joshua Alfred, will be held Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 1:00 P.M. at Kinchen Funeral Home in Lafayette, La.

Visitation will be Saturday, December 2, 2023, from 12:00 P.M. until the commencement of the celebration at Kinchen Funeral Home in Lafayette, La.

Joshua will be interred at Gethsemane Gardens Cemetery in Lafayette, La.

Joshua Seth Alfred was born to Myrtle Willis Alfred and Martin Alfred Sr., on April 14, 1990 in Lafayette, Louisiana.  He was a native and resident of Lafayette, Louisiana.  Joshua graduated from Northside High School.  While attending Northside High School he was an active member of the football team and wrestling team where he even won the title of State Champion.  Shortly after high school he enlisted in the United States Army.  Upon coming home, he attended Louisiana State University majoring in Computer Engineering and Business.

In his spare time, you could find Joshua riding ATVs, racing dirt bikes, gaming, and most of all spending time with his devoted fur baby, Aaliyah.

Joshua departed this life on Monday, November 6, 2023.  He leaves to mourn his loving memories his mother, Myrtle Willis Alfred; his father Martin Alfred Sr. and wife Molly Alfred; three sisters:  Andrea Alfred, Monica (Randy) Jones, and Marion (Paul) Woods;  one brother:  Wilbert Alfred; and his fur baby: Aaliyah.  And a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and other relatives.

He is proceeded in death by his maternal grandparents: Clarance and Vivian Willis; paternal grandparents:  Voorhies and Theresa Alfred; brothers:  Martin Alfred Jr. and Brandon J. Willis; uncles:  Voorhies Joseph Alfred II, Lewis Edward Alfred,  Raymond Willis, John Willis, Earl Willis, and Roy Chester Willis; aunts: Marie Alfred, Wilda White, Louise Alfred, Judy Chassion, Betty Ann Alfred, Yvonne Alfred, Peggy Linscomb, Merlene Willis, and Deliliah; cousins:  Curtis Alfred Jr., Lisa Alfred, and Kaishall Alfred
